It is dark outside and I am often scared

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ

Luke 13:31-35

In my part of the world today is Halloween ( although an American  thing ), a day when little children used to dress up in homemade costumes and knock on their neighbors' doors and say, "Guess or Give!"  Wow, how things have changed, and not only when it comes to Halloween, but also in every aspect of our lives!

It shouldn't surprise us, or even frighten us, that things don't seem as innocent as they used to be. Holy Scripture tells us that we aren't dealing with mere mortal men, but with powers and principalities beyond us, that might scare even a grown adult. However, we
also have been told that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Nothing!

With God's love to guide and protect us, we can remain as little children full of trust, and go out into the night unafraid knowing that Our Father is beside us.

Hold my hand my Father in heaven
for it is dark outside and I am often very scared.
