Do you feel you invincible ?

Dear Fathers, Brothers, Sisters in Christ,

Daniel 2:31-45
 Daniel 3:57, 58, 59, 60, 61
 Luke 21:5-11

If ever you feel invincible, take a walk through a cemetery. There you will see that even the strongest come to an end.  Even the smartest die.  Even the wealthiest and the most powerful pass away.  So too, do entire countries and kingdoms,  like those in today's First Reading from Daniel 2:31-45.

Only the kingdom of God endures.

Physical buildings like the temple in today's gospel crumble as well. But the God who inhabits the temple, the Lord who dwells in
the temple of our hearts, will never die.
Our God is eternal. And His Kingdom shall never end.  Isn't that a beautiful consolation in this world full of death and change?
Doesn't that make you feel secure and look forward to eternity
and unending life with our God?

The Second Coming of Christ will be a glorious time for us believers. So we needn't be afraid!
This week, as we near the end of this liturgical year, let's continue to celebrate Christ as our King. Together, let us pray:

Alleluia to our eternal King, Jesus Christ!
All praise to Him who sits upon the throne!
All glory and honour to our God,
 who reigns forever and ever!
 Amen. Alleluia!
