Feria on 21 June 2014

Dear Fathers , Friends in Christ,

2 Chronicles 24:17-25
 Psalm 89:4-5, 29-30, 31-32, 33-34
 Matthew 6:24-34

When you are in the midst of a whirlpool of problems, it is very difficult to realize that there is calm, peaceful water nearby.

Today's gospel gives us reassurance for times like these. Christ points to all the beauty in nature and how God provides to make it all happen.

The other reality is that if we are able to sit and ponder this reflection God has already provided for us for many years, the problems of today may soon slip from our memory or be a good source of humor, even for us. They are a chance to reach out for God's never ending love and care. God's heart and arms are always open for us.
