Saint Martha

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,

Jeremiah 14:17-22
 Psalm 79:8, 9, 11 and 13
 John 11:19-27

"Lord, Do You Not Care?"

How many times are our concerns not the Lord's concerns? How many times have we been tempted to say, "Lord, do you not care?"

The Lord cares about everything in our lives--everything that bothers us, everything that pleases us, everything that happens to us, all that we think, feel, see, and do. He cares about everything. But the truth is, we invest far too much energy in things that don't really matter. He would not be a friend to us if He didn't show us this. Yes, Mary's sitting around being lazy again. Peter is busy denying Him. The lady who sends out the bulletins hasn't put the proper cover letter on again. And so on.

There is too much junk in our lives, too much of ourselves. We can take it all to the Lord and He will gladly help us sort out what matters and what does not.
