Feria on the Thursday

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,

Ephesians 6:10-20
 Psalm 144:1b, 2, 9-10
 Luke 13:31-35

Are you a worrier?

If you are, it seems there are plenty of reasons to be one!

Worry, for the most part, seems to be part of our fallen condition and arises from the fact that, because of sin, things aren't right!

Yet, praise God, our Merciful Savior gives us not only the grace to recognize when things are amiss, but also a means for setting things aright--a remedy.

St. Paul, in today's First Reading, explains this beautifully, and illustrates the exact source and nature of legitimate worry and why we should not be unduly fretful, by utilizing the remedy God has so lovingly provided for us.

"Draw your strength from the Lord and from His mighty power."
(Ephesians 6:10)
