Feria for the Tuesday - God calls us now

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,

Philippians 2:5-11
 Psalm 22:26b-27, 28-30ab, 30e, 31-32
 Luke 14:15-24

Go out to the hedgerows. . . . (Luke 14:23)

My personal favorite excuse is "Just let me finish this paragraph--page--chapter. . . ." What does God have to wait for from you before He can be about His business?

We all have things that get in the way. But most of the time those things are really just fear or lack of understanding. We are afraid of leaving our comfort zones. So we sit in our houses and eat grass rather than attend the feast of the King.

But the answer is easy. Ask God to take away the fear, to clear up your understanding, to grant you His vision for you. Come to the feast--it is so much better than what you had planned.
