Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,
At a time where all of us are preparing for Christmas ... to celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace , the whole nation and many around the world are shaken by this horrific incident.We realize that we live in a world , which is still far from peaceful and we are called to prayer, first of all to pray for the repose of the soul of those hostages, who died in the siege. May they rest in peace and rise in Glory. May our God comfort all those, who loved them and are now deeply, deeply sad. We pray for our land Australia, that we may live peacefully in harmony. We pray for Police and Security officials and many others, who were involved trying to disarm the situation and finally bringing it to end.
May God give all us the courage to carry on. Sancta Maria, ora pro nobis.
