Because of my association with the Chinese via the net over more then 15 years and also bringing the gospel of Christ across , I often watch " If you are the one" a Chinese popular dating show on our SBS2 Channel. One of the compares is Le Jia, which is pictured above, a talented and witty man. 25 girls come on stage and judge a male candidate , if you score 21/24 you have a change to leave a the woman of your choice.
There was one lady, always turning down quality young men and by quality I say good character, a good job and Li Jia said to her : You are throwing away too many diamonds thinking they are pebbles. And once you realize that you cannot retrieve them. Is this not often the situation in life in relation the way we treat one another, i.e. female - male , male - female .Often a male candidate is rejected because he looked after his sick parents and has not progressed on company ladder as such.
Over the years on my pilgrimage as an Anglican Catholic Priest , I have learnt that when it comes in choosing or finding a partner for life , it would be very worthwhile to pray about it and look for a person ,who has given his or her life to Jesus Christ.
