Tuesday in the fourth week of Advent

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,

O King of all nations and keystone of the Church:
come and save man, whom You formed from the dust!

 Luke 1:46-56

Today's Gospel is "The Magnificat," the lovely response of Mary to the message of the Archangel Gabriel. In it, we hear Mary rejoice in the Almighty who has done good things for her.

This prayer is repeated each day during Evening Prayer of the Divine Office as the whole praying Church remembers what the Almighty has done for her.

How about us? Do we remember the many blessings the Lord has given to us?

Please, Lord, that we may remember, and that our voices may be raised in company with those who will forever praise the goodness of the Lord and exult in our
 Saviour.
