Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,
Your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:16)
Today we are reminded that all good works are rightfully intended to give glory to God.
Sadly, the world often forgets that it is God who is the origin of all that is magnificent and that mankind is a participant and recipient and not the source.
For our part, may we be reminded of this and remind others. It is the Lord who gives us all that is good; who gives us gladness.
Praise God in all your works and deeds!
"O Lord, let the light of your countenance shine upon us!
You put gladness into my heart, more than when grain and wine abound."
