With sadness I noted the death of the Revd Fr Philip Burgess ( pictured on the left) on Anzac Day 25 April 2019 in Melbourne. Rest in Peace dear Father Philip and it was indeed a privilege to serve with you at the altar of Christ Church Anglican Church, Brunswick, Melbourne during the nineties. May God comfort his wife Marilyn and all those who mourn him.
Father Philip came to Christ Church Brunswick as a retired Priest from serving at numerous Parishes in the diocese of Melbourne and also the diocese of Ballarat.
He made a very valid and meaningful contribution to the life of this then solid Anglican Catholic Parish and I found the number of sermons he preached very inspirational. Well done thou faithful servant!
