Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life

Dear Fathers, Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Jesus said: " I am the way and the truth and the life." Followed by "Nobody comes to the Father, but through Me.
See Saint John 14:6


There are two options, i.e. either Jesus says who He is or it is not Him. If you mean that He is not Who He is, or just partly, then I do challenge you to seek a bit further. Take more time to consider His pronouncement, because if He has got it wrong then we build our face on quicksand. Examine your heart and pray, that He opens your eyes, your ears and heart for His Truth. If you really seek Him , then you will indeed find Him. If you, just like me, believes that God speaks the truth and will not lie to us, then you do believe that Jesus is the one Who He says He is. An argument I hear against this often is that :"but.. the Bible has been written by ordinary people. Yes, the Bible has been written by ordinary people, people just like you and me, but for certain the words of our Lord have been transcribed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, which brought everything to them of what He had said. See Saint John 14:26.

The Way

We are stubborn people, who prefer often to go our own way and then we expect that Jesus will run after us to correct us to what we are not doing. But the right path, is the road behind our Lord Jesus. Or better still , through Jesus, Who is the door, which leads to God , to our destination, life eternal.
His path leads to God , His peace is peace with God. See Saint John 14:27.

When you chose His Way, His Peace , chooses  the most difficult path in the short time , but it is the best path and the path of salvation in the long term.

The Truth

Christ does not only speak the truth. He is the truth and this truth shall set us free. Free from sin, free from guilt , free from judgement, free from fear for our judgement.
This truth put us in His light and gives us a glorious future.
In Him we have an inheritance, which cannot be destroyed.


The life

In Him is life, our life. He gave His life for our redemption.
He saved us from destruction and who believes in Him shall live even after death. See Saint John 3:16. In Him is " the tree of life", which was forbidden after the fall into sin. See Genesis 3:22b. Available for everyone who wants this life and His resurrection from the dead guarantees ours.

It can be said that most people find the Lord Jesus Christ after a journey of searching in life, filled with falling and getting up again. It is my wish that you will find Jesus Christ without too many difficulties.

Whosoever finds Jesus or finds Him again, finds the way and the truth and the life. The only way, because just as He says: " Nobody comes through to the Father, than through Me.
The way He lets Himself to be found through you, makes me want to pray that you will let yourself be found through Him. 

Let us not try to take the ropes , which control everything, into our own hands, but let us shelter in His love and go His way, in His truth and find ( eternal) life.
