On 20 January last year I lost my Abbott/Bishop Klaus Schlapps of the order of Port Royal.
He was an Abbott in the order of Port Royal ( Ecumenical Cistercian Congregation )
St.Severin's abbey in Kaufbueren, Germany.
In the course of knowing him, he gave me shelter, friendship, Christian love and support and I miss him so much.
As we observe his year's mind today, I pray that he may be at Peace with His Lord for ever and ever.
My spiritual home is now in the ACC/OP, but I look back with thanks and joy to my time in the order, even from a distance such as Australia.
Bring us, o Lord God, at our last awakening
into the house and gate of Heaven,
to enter into that gate and dwell in that house,
where there shall be no darkness nor dazzling, but one equal light;
no noise nor silence, but one equal music;
no fears or hopes, but one equal possession;
no ends or beginnings, but one equal eternity,
in the habitations of thy glory and dominion,
world without end.
