'Let Choirs of Angels Rejoice'
In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Luke 15:10
Let's create a ruckus in heaven today. Are you with me?
If the angels rejoice over one repenting sinner, what kind of cacophony might occur over a whole bunch of us Anglican Catholics repenting of some junk today? Just like a neighbourhood garage sale or a rummage sale is far more successful if neighbours throw in all their junk, our sin sale could generate some serious cleanup.
Take some time today; it doesn't have to be a long time, just some time to get quiet with God. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to come and reveal an area of shadow living in our lives. It may not have mutated yet into full-blown sin, but the shadows are eventually going to draw us in. Or perhaps we have an obvious confession to make.
Whatever it is, today is the day. Let's join forces for good and cause the angels to rejoice loudly overhead. The angels sing in celebration our freedom. Are you ready to be free?
