Saturday in the third week of Advent

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,

O root of Jesse
You stand as a sign for the peoples:
Before You Kings shall keep silence
And to You all nations shall have recourse ,
Come and save us, and do not delay.

But the angel said to him:"Do not be afraid Zecharia", because your prayer has been heard.  (Saint Luke 1 v 13 )

Today the angel speaks to all of us. Each prayer is heard by God and accepted as the most previous of gifts.
Often we are astounded and struck dumb, because, though we pray, we often do so forlornly,
not even properly hoping for an answer.

Do believe ! Your prayers are answered and heard in God's time and to the
purpose of our good.

Believe! For God is now with us and always.
