1 Corinthians 8:1b-7, 11-13
Psalm 139:1b-3, 13-14ab, 23-24
It seems that what Christ commanded has fallen by the wayside and has been replaced by many rules and regulations that have all but smothered authentic Christlike responses to the needs of others.
Instead of being inspired by the Word of God, people are regimented by programs and incentives that quickly lose their steam and flickering effectiveness.
I recently read in a Church newspaper that the "fuel" for service must be the Fire of the Holy Spirit. Anything less does not produce enduring fruit and is a ruse, a fake, a trick of the evil one.
Take the words of Christ seriously; they are not simplistic, feel-good, catchy, public service messages, but the only way to eternal life.
