Feria on the Thursday

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,

Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
(Matthew 6:8)

In the midst of a calamity, we pray for God's help. We ask, perhaps for a loved one or for ourselves, for healing, or relief, or a happy resolution to a serious problem that troubles us deeply.

Jesus taught us the Our Father prayer, with the essential phrase "Thy will be done." God our Father and Creator loves us more that we can ever understand in this life. We will have all eternity to grow in our understanding of His love and it will still never be totally satisfied.

God wills that we share in His love for all eternity.

Whatever trials we endure in this life are fleeting, even though it may not seem that way at the time. This life passes quickly.

We need not pray with anxiety, but with hope. Whatever the outcome, it is for the good, for His mercy endures forever.
