The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Dear Fathers, Friends in Christ,

"Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word."
(Luke 1:38)

When Mary consented to be the Mother of God, she didn't have all the details of what that would mean. Still, she deferred to the will of God, and what followed is the beautiful story which gave us Our Saviour.

During this time of anticipation, may we imitate Mary by not demanding all the answers. Rather, with God's grace, may we develop a disposition of docility that sweetly defers to the Word of God that still can be heard by open and loving hearts.
Come Lord Jesus, come!
