Tuesday after Passion Sunday

Friends in Christ,

Numbers 21:4-9
 Psalm 102:2-3, 16-18, 19-21
 John 8:21-30

So they said to Him, "Who are you?"

A most excellent question for the season. Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus to each of us?

Is He a distant historical figure?
Is He a good man abused by those around Him?
Is He Lord and Savior--distant and aloof?
Is He Lord and Savior--closer to you than your own skin?
Is He the second person of the Trinity?
Is He the voice of the Indwelling Trinity?
Is He all of these things?
 Is He something else entirely?

We need to spend these last moments of Lent letting Jesus tell us who He is for us.

At different times of life He will be different strengths for us and yet always the same Jesus. Who then is Jesus?

He is the One we need most, as He said to a distraught Martha. Whatever it is we need at the time, THAT is who and what Jesus is!
